Dedicated to the memory of Carol Milne

Carol was a much loved Wife, Mother, Sister and Friend.     She always had a smile for everybody and if she could help she would.

Everybody says that they had the best Wife or Mum but in Carol we truly believe that she was the best - if we were not smiling, had a drink or something to eat in our hands then she was not happy.

Friends who visited were never sent away from the house without some gift whether it be something she had cooked, a card that she had made or a scarf that she had knitted.     There are many ladies that are walking around France or the UK that have a scarf wrapped round their neck at present which we like to think is a hug from her.

As a child Carol grew up knowing that all she wanted to be was a Wife and Mother and her dream started to become reality when she married Adrian at the age of 19, June arrived a year later just before her 21st birthday and Shan arrived three years afterwards.   Adrian retired from the police force at the age of 42 and they moved to France 32 years ago for a long and happy retirement.   Although their life is in France and they have many friends there she still maintained friendships with the people that were UK based, many of these were described as family by her - she had known them that long.

Nothing could please her more than the successes her children made of their lives and she thoroughly enjoyed hearing about what they were doing, where they had been and who they had met.    One of the things she was most pleased about was the choice and success the girls made of both of their marriages and treated both her son in laws as if they were her own sons.
